kp - yes, Bagsy will definately continue the magnificent tradition!

valonia - thanks for visiting - yes the crest is rather overwhelming, but that was its purpose - to bring short italian men up to par with the taller celtic tribes - perhaps an early appearance of "penis envy"!
valonia - P.S. No, surprisingly considering the comprehensive head and body armour, there was no protection for the centre face. This was left open to aid vision and breathing (these were foot soldiers). History lesson over for today - I shall set no homework as it is Friday.
Josephine - thanks for visiting, fellow Sagittarian. The plume (or crest) is made from horsehair - so natural that it still smells of horse when it's wet!

Avus,
I have seen this nose many times and yet cannot recall seeing it in direct profile. What A magnificent nose you have!!
Looks like it has skipped a generation. Still, Bagsy will carry on the tradition
Commendabilis nasus!
I think the rather generous helmet plume detracts from the grandeur of your nose.
Did the Romans not protect their noses?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. What I mean is, what an extremely nice nose you have!

Found my way over by Knowley and HerHimBryn...
...so, the nose has a good line to it, but what interests me most is what you have on your head.
That plume is something else!!

Damnit, I like homework.
I would have thought a Roman nose would be a prime target...it's so... er, Roman. But then, I guess breathing is a necessity.
P.S. Thank you for adding me to your links. I'm going to add you too, if that is ok?
Valonia - flattered to be added! I will publish some more "Wall" photos just for you!
