Taking the caravan up to the North York Moors (Valonia's home country) on Thursday for a week or so then on to Northumberland and Hadrian's Wall area for a few days.
Here we will meet up with my Roman group at the Roman fort site of Birdoswald (Camboglanna - "crooked glen" to the Romans) where we are contracted to do two days of public displays.
Hope the weather improves by then or rusty armour is a definite hazard!

Have fun, people. Catch up with you-all later.

Happy holiday to you both.
Great links.
Bon voyage.
Ooh nasty, a rusting breastplate!
That van looks a bit more luxe than the old Sprite Alpine!
Have a great hols!
Have a lovely trip. Yes, B31 sounds about right. The Duke very politely stuck around instead of just taking off. The B31 isn't such a slouch as all that on the narrow winding mountain roads. Don't think they could handle togetherness on I-5.

Glad you liked the links
J. Cosmo;
(where does that name come from?) thanks for visiting, I popped over to your blogs and enjoyed them.
Lucy;
Yes, we've had a few vans over 20 odd years (starting with a very old, rotten 2 berth) but this is a new one and will be the last one.
V;
Yes, I can see that the B31 would be a good scratcher over mountain roads. (we know what we are talking about but it must seem very esoteric to others!)

Lovely links. Have a good one and lots of gin
Oh Wow, Enjoy yourself, it looks like you are doing it up in great fashion.
I would like to buy what is know as a teardrop trailer. Just a bed inside, and outside is a little cooking station. Somethine I could pull behind the van. They are really tiny though. Would fit three times in your caravan.
Very pretty countryside.....
Half your luck! Have a good trip.
What a lovely mobile home. Have fun.
Have a wonderful time and don't forget to show us your photos! Thanks for the North Yorkshire link- it's good to see that in the photo of my home town of Northallerton it's still raining! X v.
