Something a little different for Christmas for you all:
Below is a picture of Rembrandt's "Night Watch". The Rijksmuseum museum in Holland wanted to bring art to the people and hopefully, they would come to see more. They took one Rembrandt painting from 1642, Night Watch, and did the following in a busy mall.
Before clicking on the link, take a good look at the painting. And view with sound on.

Now that's the way to view art! Hope more museums will do something like that. Here in the States, attendance at museums and historical societies is down, due to the economy we suspect, but perhaps because art is alive to visitors as it once might have been.
Thank you for this, Avus. Happy holidays to you and your family and friends! I'll be returning to this several times over the coming weeks.
...isn't alive...
That was wonderful, and worth waiting for. What a finale! Happy Christmas to you and yours.
Tom and Crow:
Nice to hear from you again - glad you got the same enjoyment from it that I did.
My Best Wishes to you
Hey Avus! good to have you back.
Tom called me over for this, making sure I didn't catch the last frame of it, and we literally laughed out loud together.
Happy Christmas to you and yours.
Happy Christmas to you, too, Lucy. Good to see that you have got Tom blogging!
Nice to be back again - I really must do it more often in future
Thank you so much for this. A happy Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year to you and your family.
What was the Night Watch doing out and about in the daytime? What in fact were they doing away from the wall-space above our bed-head where they've hung for a dozen years?
Welcome back.

Sorry! That picture over your bed will never be the same again. It might become involved in any future nightmares as they leap out to take on life.
Avus - Happy New Year - great to meet you here again!
Kay:
